• INTRODUCTION

  The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwah (KPK) has decided to undertake implementation of 84 MW Matiltan Hydropower Project, district Swat through Sarhad Hydel Organization (PHYDO) as the Executing Agency.  BARQAAB Consulting Services, Lahore in joint venture with Consulting Associates (CA), Peshawar and Karakorum Engineering Consultants (KESC), Skardu have been approved as the Management Consultants (MC) to provide Consultancy Services for the construction of 84 MW HPP in accordance with the TOR. This consultancy agreement was signed on 17th April, 2012 between PHYDO and BARQAAB Engineering Services, (PVT) Ltd Lahore as main partner. The consultant started their activities from 11th May, 2012.

  CONSULTANT SCOPE OF WORK

• The Management Consultants (MC) shall be the “ENGINEER” for the project and responsible for preparing Basic Design of the Project and Draft EPC Contract Documents based on FIDIC Conditions of Contract for EPC/Turnkey projects.  MC will monitor, review and supervise the EPC contractor engineering, procurement, contract administration and construction activities.  MC Powers will be fully defined in the Conditions of Particular Application of the EPC Contract Documents as Employer Representative.
