BARQAAB Consulting Services (Pvt.) Limited was established in August 2000 according to the WAPDA Authority’s Directive as a separate entity to initially provide Services for development of both Water and Power Wings of WAPDA.

As a consequence BARQAAB was registered as a Company under the Companies Ordinance 1984 in May 2000 and has also been registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council and Alternate Energy Development Board Govt. of Pakistan to provide Consultancy Services. It has a nucleus formation at the Headquarters and has various specialty groups of professional registered and working with the Company on various projects.  The services of these various groups are utilized for management of projects from conception stage to implementation and maintenance stages.  These special groups are centres of excellence for various disciplines and provide professional input to the project management.

BARQAAB is playing its vital for the growth of energy by providing services on projects of national importance in the fields of distribution, transmission and generation and by today has completed over Rs.100 billion of power Projects. Power Projects activities include Preliminary Design, Cost Estimates, preparation of Tender Documents, Evaluation and Recommendations for Award of Contract, Project Management, Construction Supervision, Quality Assurance and Monitoring, Verification of Contractors BOQ and Payments, Project Management, Progress Reporting, Testing & Commissioning of Projects.

BARQAAB has a Total strength of the Company staff of over 490 employees including 300 professionals and para professional staff of different disciplines.  BARQAAB possess fully furnished with latest equipment, Planning and Design Offices spread over 14,000 sq.ft.

All Projects are carefully monitored along with time management and financial control.  Quality assurance is given utmost importance.
